The SM455 is the perfect solution for the speaker/system designer wanting streaming features and TV sound, combined with DSP-controlled amplifiers.
The SM455 is an upgraded version of our previous SM450. It features 4x50Wrms amplification - each channel can be freely tuned by DSP and settings stored permanently.
The amplifier mapping can be widely configured, to fulfill many different use cases like Stereo bi-amp outputs (2xwoofer (L+R) and 2xtweeter (L+R)), dual stereo outputs (2 left channels and 2 right channels), sub/sat outputs (2 channels for subwoofer and 2 channels for L+R satellites) or 4 mono outputs - e.g. for CI systems.
The SM455 already supports streaming from Google Cast, Apple AirPlay2, Spotify Connect and DLNA. Further, the SM455 can be used with Bluetooth. Direct inputs consist of HDMI (eARC) which makes it perfect for TV applications, as well as 3.5mm AUX/OPT SPDIF.
Interaction directly with the product after initial setup is not necessary, as the volume is adjusted remotely with HDMI and streaming inputs, and the system allow automatic input selection based on an advanced algorithm.
As an option, the SM455 also supports our 2-way RF smart remote which enables manual operation. This is purchased seperately.
Further, the SM455 features our APP-based room correction system - which is fully integrated into the core of the SM455.
The SM455 is a very compact design - the input connectors are directed along with the rear plate and countersunk, allowing positioning close to a rear wall.
The SM455 module itself is pre-certified for EU and US markets. Thus the module can safely be integrated into any audio application.
